NDX - DOA

Posted by: Clandrel on 18 November 2013

Hi,

Just got a Supernait 2 and an NDX. Right now I'm done with the connections, but the NDX is completely dead. I've tried with several power cables, but still dead.

Any tips?

Hi,
Your ndx should power up with only the power cord connected.
I have been reading your other posts and note you have just purchased.if it were me I would contact your dealer before you do anything else.

Hi again,
Just a thought but have inserted the link plug.this needs to be in unless you are using a seperate psu.
Don't panic you'll get there.

Link plug fitted? Also have you checked the fuse?

Link plug. What plug is that?

Thanks!

Hi,
When the ndx came in box( new I believe reading your other posts) the link plug is not fitted.it should be in the box with other bits.this link plug is about 2 inches long by 1 in diameter.you won't be able to miss it.this needs to be inserted in the relevant place on back of ndx,
Sorry I can't post pic but google naim ndx link plug pics and you should find it.

Hi,
More info on page 2 of the user manual.if for some reason you have no manual you can view them on the naim website.

Well done for getting the NDX. It will be great, once it works. The link plug is a big black thing with lots of pins in one end. Pop it in the back and all will (should) be well.....

Found it, plugged it in, everything works.

Jesus Christ, what a combo. Sounds so natural, sweet and natural. Even with bad MP3s.

Supernait 2

NDX

Audiovector Si3 Aritté

And extreme power. Volume at 7 o'clock, and that's normal listening level. I can't even begin to think what this combo will sound like at 11 0'clock...

Thanks for all the help!

Hi,
Happy days. Sit back leave alone and enjoy.leave both units on 24/7 for best performance.it will take a while to run in.when it does it should sound sweet.

Congratulations on the new additions to the family. Be aware that the SN2 takes a  l o n g
time to fully run in. 300 hours at a minimum. You may find a hardness on some recordings and a slightly recessed midrange ; if so don't despair. Let the system play 24/7.

Enjoy. There is great beauty in the SN2.

That's really good news. The system should keep you happy for a long time. Make sure you have a nice stand to put it on, to get the best from it.
