Issues with N-stream

Hi,

I regularly have issues with n-stream. I have a Unitiqute 2 connected wireless. I have my iphone 5 and ipad mini both with n-stream, and know that i can only use one at a time.

Sometimes from the outset n-stream cant connect (however the remote works and it can always play music) and will say "Streamer not responding". Other times it will be fine and randomly, when going to change the music, it wont connect and say "Streamer not responding".

I haven't found a specific fix either. Sometimes disable/enable network works. Other times rebooting router works. Sometimes it will just start working again.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

It does sound network related, specifically Upnp status and discovery messages might be getting lost. It could be your wifi link is not reliable enough.. you might want to try a different wireless access point, like the Apple Airport Express, and see if that improves things.

I never thought i could be the router being a new linksys ea4500, but its a good point and something i will investigate further.

I've got intermittent problems like this too, both on iPhone and iPad 2 (but mostly on the iPad). It's only started happening to me since the iOS 7.0.4 update - 7.0.3 was fine. Usually restarting the iOS device fixes the problem. Could be iOS related?

Could be.. but I use these iOS versions and have no such issue - but I do use an Apple Airport Express as I previously had issues with my Cisco wireless access point not supporting multicast discovery or status messages correctly - and some times I had server not found or my iPad lost visibility of my NDX.
