Thanks for forgiving me and my political intolerances as an American, Jamie. I can see where Americans might not see stereotypical slurs for their ironic intent. After all, the rest of the world gets irony, but not the US.  We're still wondering how Hollywood ever prospered with their lack of irony.

You see..?

I quess this is an example of the famous British humour which is hard to recognize because it is not all that funny to begin with (unless you are a Brit of course).

Haha, love it!

Yes it was barely funny in the UK, god knows what the US turned it into, if what they did to "til Death.."is any thing to judge by.

Was it supposed to be funny? I thought it was a BB fly on the wall type thing. Looked pretty realistic to me - in the few seconds I was occasionally exposed to it.

Looks like Naim has lost control with this forum.

And the four buttons at the bottom right are stupid.

When will Naim take control.

Elkman

Elkman,

the buttons serve useful function.  They have always been there but before were at the top of the dialog box and revealed when you ran the mouse over them.

Naim have some control over certain options and customisation but it is limited to that of the overall platform.  We're always fighting our corner but Naim is just part of a wider community using the same platform so sometimes we have to bend to what the overall community desires in format.  Naim stick with it because the over-riding priority is continuity - to move elsewhere risks the loss of years of valuable information.  Naim had that happen back in the early days of the original forum and don't wish to go there again.

Richard,

I did not appreciate that we shared the platform with others so fair enough.

As regards the buttons. when you click the two right hand buttons you have to write a response quoting a previous response and cannot revert back to a simple reply without coming off the thread and then going back into the thread and pressing post reply.

Regards,

Elkman

Yes, it was supposed to look like that, but of course was all acted. Was it funny? Well, to me it was. But it was more than just funny, too. It was a commentary on our ordinary and boring lives, that are never quite going to work out like we had hoped. It was about all the people we interact with, but with whom we never quite connect. It was about our hopes and dreams fading away, one day at a time.

I thought it was brilliant.

Same here Winky; I loved it & still watch the series on DVD.

And there was me thinking it was a documentary. Oh the irony.

As to the right hand buttons I do not quite follow what the problem is. At least to me the quoting / posting the reply works just like it did in previous version (i.e. no change of functionality here, only the look of the buttons are different). You can delete the quote and make your reply without it or you can press the cancel button and after that the post reply button to start fresh - no need to come off the thread and then go back.

Just think what it would be like if they used "community-focused" amateurs ?

Saying that has anyone used Facebook? POC.

As a result of this "Likes" thing, I've got a few love you too pink hearts posted into my "Alerts"

I klicked on "Manage" & tried to remove them, am I missing something,  but I can't see how to delete them.  I know they are not doing anything & are best ignored, but why have a Manage tab when you can't manage (delete) unwanted stuff.

Me to Mike. At least they're fairly well hidden under alerts.
