Listening Chain Challenge

Posted by: GraemeH on 08 December 2013

Let's see if this works:

I'm listening to the album Above. The challenge is to suggest the next album you will listen to which has a link to it.  The link must be described by you and can be as obvious (eg. same artist - potentially boring) or as un-obvious (some hitherto unknown/unexpected connection - potentially interesting), or as oblique as you like.

Points for the most unexpected/clever/funny connections.

How does the soundtrack to 'Performance' follow on from Caravan's 'For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night'?

Woops! Must have posted 'Performance' simultaneously...Although 'Mick Jagger' is a euphemism for something that would make her go plump in the night!

Didn't the Performance soundtrack contain the track Poor White Hound Dog performed by the Last Poets?  Caravan's superb For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night definitely contains the track The Dog, The Dog, He's at It Again - it opens side two IIRC.

Great recovery, Wat!
