Listening Chain Challenge

Posted by: GraemeH on 08 December 2013

Let's see if this works:

I'm listening to the album Above. The challenge is to suggest the next album you will listen to which has a link to it.  The link must be described by you and can be as obvious (eg. same artist - potentially boring) or as un-obvious (some hitherto unknown/unexpected connection - potentially interesting), or as oblique as you like.

Points for the most unexpected/clever/funny connections.

I see at least two reasons why I could link to absolutely anything I'd like here, couldn't I ?

Ok, I'll go for a relatively lesser known soundtrack of his:

Girl 6 OST

(Are you happy with the way your thread unfolds Graeme ? A great idea, thanks !)

My favourite scorpions album.

I worked with a German guy recently who went to the same school as The Scorpions. He said there was no mention anywhere of their achievements, despite them selling around 75 million albums..

The concerts in Montreux are not hosted in the casino anymore.

Jacques Dutronc, Dutronc au Casino

Dutronc au Casino was produced by Dominique Blanc-Francard, a french sound engineer that once worked at the Château d'Hiérouville (lots of possible links from here) in the '70s. Dominique's family is linked to music in many ways: his brother Patrice is a producer as well (and renowned for having produced Les Enfants du Rock in the '80s), and his two sons are musicians. Hubert is one half of the electronic duo Cassius, and Mathieu is also known as this funkster:

Sinclair, Au mépris du danger

Mathieu Blanc-Francart was fortunate enough to marry the absolutely delicious Emma de Caunes, daughter of Antoine. The Brits amongst you might remember him for the Channel 4 TV program Eurotrash he once hosted with Jean-Paul Gaultier.
