DAC-V1 Driver App

I have not powered my new DAC-V1 up yet. In the manual it says the driver app can only run on Windows Vista and above. I only have XP home and Pro available so does this mean I have to upgrade my OS or is there a way round this please? I have searched for any previous posts but haven't found anything. Maybe I've missed something.

You can use standard Windows USB drivers but then your 'limited' to 96/24.

but I would recommend to upgrade anyway, because XP is unsafe, seriously outdated and Windows 8.x sounds a lot better.

Thanks for that. I will have to go the W8 route to keep up. Presumably sound quality is why Naim waited and didn't use XP but W7&8 in the first place- makes sense now as I hadn't realised the XP limitations.
