Telly worth watching over Christmas?

I'll start the ball rolling with this programme about two Christmas gigs the Pistols played, seemingly very much out of character:

I'm sure there will be some good music programmes on too.

So far all I have spotted to watch is Ironman 3 on christmas Day, skybox set.

The third series of 'Sherlock' is due Jan 1. Can't wait.

Plenty of college bowl games on for me to watch. Probably too many to keep track of. But the higher level games should be quite good.

No Buckeyes in the BCS Championship game Joe, so nothing else worthwhile :-(

Cheers

Thanks for the consolatory words, Jim. I'm still stinging from the MSU game . True, if you're not playing in the title game the other bowls are pretty meaningless, but I do enjoy the college game very much and try to watch the bigger bowls.

Still got the Seahawks to cheer for! Cheers

I know it's a children's program, but did they really need to call the town Christmas.

Joe,

I didn't realise you were a Buckeyes fan....the words were meant for me! :-)  Although in my 12 years in the US I never got to Horseshoe to see them play at home I did manage to get to Ryan Field a few times when they came to Evanston to play Northwestern.

Oh well, the Orange Bowl against Clemson should still be a good game and hopefully it will be on ESPN or BT Sport here - if not then I will have to find an illicit US TV feed on the Internet!

Cheers

Jim

PS.  As a Browns fan I have nothing to cheer for and I live a life of forlorn hope.... :-(

Oh the irony, Jim!  I'm a bigtime Buckeyes fan that was raised outside of Cleveland during the Woody era. Only got to one of their games at The Shoe in 1980 and it was against Northwestern. The Wildcats absolutely sucked in those days -  that's how I got the tickets.

Saw many a Browns' game at Municipal Stadium during the Brian Sipe/Sam Rutigliano days. My family had season tickets forever but my brothers have given them up in recent years. Yeah, the future looks bleak for the Clowns. Last thing I'd want in life is to be a college QB drafted by them.

I really hope you get to see the Orange Bowl. Braxston Miller is something special and I think he has developed into a better QB than either Troy Smith or Tyrell Pryor.  Next year should be interesting for OSU. Best Wishes.

Buckets of moronic shite (with tinsel) as usual.

The documentary about M.R. James was good and I enjoyed the film 'Sightseers' on Film4 last evening. A updated and blackly comic, blood-soaked 'Nuts in May'. Great stuff.
