ND5 XS remote not working

Happy New Year to everybody.

 

I have just received a new ND5 XS. After that my first ND5 has been down to Salisbury twice, Naim decided to give me a new unit. I am using the original remote as the new streamer arrived without one. However the remote doesn't seem to work.

 

I have tried resetting with Aux + i + Disp and Aux + i + 5 at startup.

 

The remote has a pair of fresh batteries and is able to control the volume on my SN2.

 

Any ideas?

I'm afraid this is the best I can suggest - all I can say is it worked for me.

GO to the setup menu, Factory settings, Handset IR monitor and test your remote control.

If no reactions, you may have to contact your dealer or Naim.

Thanks Nick, Manu. I tried the handset IR monitor and no reactions. The unit is going back to my dealer tomorrow for the 3rd time

That is not acceptable. A new unit should mean a sealed box, containing a new unit and new remote. After all, the remote could have been faulty too.
