Multiroom phantom ...

Posted by: Stephen Pritchard on 03 January 2014

I awoke this morning to radio 4 blaring from the guest bedroom - the 'Qute seems to have a mind of its own!  Later today, all four 'Qutes were at full volume - without human intervention.  I have restarted n-Stream on my iPhone and ipad, disconnected namote on my iMac with the hope that the gremlins won't return ... watch this space.

This is the first time this has happened, although I have noted sometimes, over the last month or so, that the odd 'Qute un-mutes itself, but until now the volume has remained low ...

My retailer has passed this issue on to the Naim team, but I thought it was worth a wider audience ...

Incidentally I think you can limit the maximum volume on the qutes, you certainly can on the uniti.

Thanks garyi - it is already limited to 60%: it was the shock of hearing it not the volume that disturbed me!

I think there have been some problems with the logo mute function behaving randomly. You may be having a similar problem.  See this thread:

Maybe disable the logo mute function in settings in see if that helps? And keep on the dealer's case of course!
