Adding iRadio Stations

Posted by: Jota on 13 January 2014

Hi,

Have a Unitiqute 2 and reading the manual about adding internet radio stations I was directed to this web page http://myradio.naimaudio.com/s...ations/StartPage.asp.

So I add the MAC address, add my email etc then browsed by location, found a station I'd like to add but how do I add it?  When I click on the green button it tries to play it in Windows Media Player.  Is there no 'one click add' to add new stations to the Unitiqute?

Thanks in advance.

guys, I'm having problems too.  I have two internet stations that I want to add.  Once shows up on this below

and it's Amp Radio in Calgary.  But when I hit the + button it doesn't add to my favorites.  The second one I want to add is http://www.radiolily.com/wp-co...gins/mini/radio.html and it's not working for me either.  Please help, thanks in advance.

I had to manually add the station URL.

Then in N-Stream it shows up under 'added stations'.

It's a bit annoying that I can't seem to one click add stations from the list on that page.

The purpose of the add station section is to add new stations which are not yet listed by vTuner ("You can add your own stations here. If you have found a station that is not in our list, you can add it yourself."). So it's not intended to act as favourites listing (Naim has provided the preset function for that). Of course too bad if the 40 presets are not enough to cover all preferred stations. Mine is full by the way but I have memorized the path on the library where I can found the stations of the few which are not included in the presets.

Are your presets full or can't you find the path for Amp Radio in n-Stream? If the latter one path which can be used is library>genre>top 40>Canada>Amp Radio.

Concerning the other station you need the actual stream address (not the above player plugin address) in order to add it through the vTuner web interface (assuming it is not yet listed by vTuner).

Thanks everyone for your replies; currently have no presets.  Osprey thank you, how do I get the site's actual stream address?  This would fix the problem adding the radio lily site.  With regards to the amp radio site, I have successfully added it using my remote and searching for it directly on the UQ.  When I go to the website and click add, a little box shows up and asks me to add it to my favorites or my new favorites, when I do that the window closes but the site doesn't appear under "my added" section on the UQ.  I would like to know how to do this as adding through the computer seems much easier.

Ken, as far as I have undestood correctly it is not possible to add the stations through the vTuner web interface in way you hope. The only way I have found is to add the favourites as presets by using n-Stream app or remote control. (However, please note that I have the fw 3.16 in my Uniti due to the fact that I am using the old iPhone as a control device so my knowledge on this subject might be incorrect or out dated).

Getting the actual stream URL can indeed be the most difficult part in adding the new stations. If the station is not giving it freely one might need a URL finding software (like URL Helper or URL Snooper). Unfortunately I am not savvy enough to assist you further with those (never installed and/or used). Hopefully some of the more IT skillfull members could chip in and help you on this.
