Anyone heard these on HD (24/192)?  Listening to 'Fragile' now....sounds fantastic.!

....and I'm not normally a fan of Yes!

Well worth a a listen IMHO........

Do you mean you ARE listening to them at 24bit/192kHz, or are you listening to the Rhino CDs?

if the former, please let us know where from! Actually I think that they did a pretty excellent job on the Rhino remasters (CTTE being better than the Steven Wilson version IMHO - the remix messes with my memories). But I do await SW's remix of Relayer, which was always a bit too congested.

Yes, listening to the high def 24 bit 192KHz WAV downloads from HDTracks, not the CD.

Downloaded these from HDTrscks yesterday.  Working for a US company has it's perks (I.e a PC with a US IP address).

Then I look forward to the launch of HD Tracks in Britain in April.

I already have Fragile and Tales from HD Tracks.  I wonder if this set contains the same versions.

Have you heard the Steve Hoffman remaster of CTTE from last year?  I like it pretty well!

Not sure if this set is same master as existing HDT albums.  All I know is that at 24/192, the music is very enjoyable.  Up til now, we had very few Yes albums (90125, Going for the One, Closer to the Edge and one of their 2 disc greatest hits), but with this set, I'm/we're listening to Yes a lot more In the GeeJay household.  It was my wife who was more of a Yes fan, but now I get it!

I used to play a lot of Rick Wakeman when I was younger.  His over the top keyboards on some of these albums is very reminiscent of the exuberance on 6 wives of Henry VIII, Myths and Legends of King Arthur & the Knights of the Round Table, and Journey to the Centre of the Earth.  Also interested that the mighty Trevor Horn (he of ZZT Art of Noise, Grace Jones, Seal and FGTH fame) had a brief involvement with Yes.....

Not heard the CTTE Steve Hoffman remaster....will keep a look out for that.....

Thoroughly recommend this set of masters though.

Hello George,

Do you have Rick Wakeman's "Country Airs"? I love that album.

I'm not the biggest Yes fan but I have these HD versions although haven't listened to them yet. I'm hoping the sq is very good so your recommendation helps. I'll try to report back but there's just not enough time to listen!

Thanks Arun.  Think you'll be suitably impressed when you get to listen to them. My favourite album of the set (so far) is 'Fragile'......listening to it now!   Superb guitar, piano and general keyboard work.

Will keep a look out for 'Country Airs' on HD.....it's been a few years since listening to RW, and certainly not heard any of his solo material on HD.

Nice problem to have....so much great music to choose from!
