'Mr Happy Go Lucky' on a Triple Five

Does anyone else have the John Mellencamp album and a CD555?

Both my copies exhibit a momentary volume increase at the start of Track Five. I think it's something to do with the HDCD encoding of the disc.

The CDS3 I think, has the Pacific Microsonics chip for HDCD detection and doesn't do it. Neither does my CD5i, which I think does not detect HDCD encoded CD's.
