Happy Valentine's Day

Don't forget to give SWMBO her card this morning chaps... a call from the office later today to say "Sorry, I forgot, your card is in the top right hand draw in the kitchen" 'aint going to be well received, trust me.
What a shame Naim don't do gift vouchers.
If anyone receives Naim kit from their wife/partner/girlfriend/mistress/hanger-on for Valentine's Day, it would be nice to hear about it.
Might I suggest that, should you be on the receiving end of new Naim kit, another year of liaison might not be such a bad prospect..........

Engelbert, it will not happen .
I can't see any wife/parter/girlfriend buying expensive Naim kit out of their own money for their better half. Unless they are millionairesses
Just back from our bakers in carshalton to buy our weeks supply of walnut bread. Today only they were selling Walnut & cheese bread made in the shape of a heart @ £1.95. I thought sod the expense and splashed out. Carn`t think why but it didn`t go down to well with SWMBO.

LOL. I love the idea of Naim gift vouchers, though I think SWIFT already has that one covered. Coming soon to a newsstand near you right below the iTunes and Amazon gift cards. Increments of $5,000?
According to a 2012 article from the LA Times:
"men will shell out an average of $168.74 on clothing, jewelry and other gifts this Valentine's Day, a survey by the National Retail Federation indicates. That's nearly double the amount that women will spend."
That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about Valentines Day...
I did think about spoiling my better half with some new cables but thought better and went for some roses instead
Bought mine a brand new print of Burne-Jones' Cupid and Psyche and was told off for re-cycling a previous purchase. Memories eh?!

Hi Analogmusic,
Good to hear from you, despite your pessimism.
I must concur, albeit sadly, that I'm inclined to agree with you.

Oh come on PB - the look on her face when she opened a beautifully gift-wrapped new Burndy would have been worth twice what you paid for it!
Never bought her a valentines present or card(or her I for that matter) in the 37 years we've been wed and if I start now she'll think I'm up to no good.
We don't 'do' wedding anniversaries either as it happens.
