Copying 24/96 flac to Naim HDX

I have some 24/96 flac files on my computer. I want to copy them to my Naim HDX?.
Is it possible with Naim desktop?
How?

It is neither required (as the HDX can play them directly from their location on your computer), nor possible (as storage on the HDX is limited to Compact Disc rips and the server's database, i.e., there is no external write access to the internal drive).

An alternative, if for whatever reason you don't wish to keep the files on your computer, you could attach a small portable drive to the back of the HDX just to hold your Hi-res files. It might be a good idea though to transcode them to WAV for best results.

Could this portable drive also be used to backup the naim HDX HDD?

No - but a network-attached storage device would be required for backup, and could also be used to store and organize your files. Contact your retailer for more information!
