Unitiserve Rip/CD issue

Although I have contacted my dealer and naim (still waiting for responese), I thought I would post this while I wait, in case anyone else has had this issue.

I recently tried to rip a cd with my unitiserve. The ccd spun, didn't seem to be recognized and is now stuck in the serve. I have tried to manually eject it (double tap), rebooted (several times), and have left it off for a length of time, and tried the reboot again. Still nothing.

This was a standard cd, nothing special, so I am not sure what the issue might be.

It had happened once before. But the reboot and manual eject to follow seemed to get the cd out.

Anyone?

Same happened to me, my dealer replaced the serve - no fuss or arguing, fantastic service.
Try powering down and leave it for it off for a while and hopefully the disc will eject, if you have the same issue again it would suggest a fault and a discussion with your dealer will need to take place.

I don't have my music backed up (from my serve rips), will this be a problem?

Haven't had a chance to get a NAS yet.

I have given a few hints to Steve.
We will then figure out what to do.
Don't worry, if ever we have to exchange your unit, we will be able to transfer your music from one unit to the other.
