Is something about to happen in Floyd-land?

The rumour going around is that some big exhibition of Pink Floyd treasures (perhaps prompted by the brilliant Bowie exhibition at the V&A last year, the museum's most successful exhibition ever) is about to be announced.

A suitably enigmatic (official) website has also been set up. Not a lot there at the mo' but here's the link:

Could be good as Bowie at V&A was excellent and The Floyd could be even more so!

Bowie exhibition was indeed superb. Pink Floyd a big yawn I suspect.

Why so? Granted, the costume part of the show is likely to be a bit thin, but given the cinematic aspects of the Floyd's music, and the importance cutting-edge design played in their career, it could be even better than the Bowie.

Maybe. With the Bowie exhibition apart from the fact of the costume aspect, the theatrical/acting aspect and the superb music it was the volume of minute details such as his own stage and lighting designs handwritten and hand drawn. The man had seemed to have kept everything from a very early stage in his career which made it so interesting.

Dont get me wrong I like Floyd's music from early Syd until Animals. I saw them live in 77 on the animals tour and loved it but I am not sure there would be enough interesting material for an exhibition.

Have to admit I would probably go though!!
