no sound going from Macbook Pro to USB Dac

Hi all,

My Macbook Pro is connected to the DAC via USB, but sound only comes out of computer when playing from Qobuz app...sound is not going to the sound system!

What did I do wrong? I have selected the USB DAC as the output device in System preference, and it seems to also be set u correctly in Audio Midi...

Do I need to do further set up to play music from Qobuz (in MacBook) into the Dac? I thought it was just plug and play?

Many audio apps such as bit perfect, ammara etc require you to choose the audio output from with its own preferences.

Ya Try just googling using qobuz with mac.......there will likely be directions on the qobuz website

I tried to download to see what the issue was and it opens in Frnech and the preferences menu item does not open anything.

Looks like a piece of crap to me.

You don't have sound when using Qobuz app or when not using the app and using other apps(e.g. browser)?

There is an output setting in Qobuz where you can select your output device.

I also had problems opening the settings which didn't seem to work but at some point did show up.
