Most underrated song in your music collection?

Who do you think are the unsung heroes in your opinion? This is not necessarily groups or songs no one's heard of, but those who had their five minutes then were forgotten about by the rest of us.  The La's "There She Goes Again" is one Id say had plenty of influence on other bands, but wasn't acknowledged by them.

Hi Char Wallah

I reckon Killing joke is a band that is wallowing in relative obscurity, although they still have a strong fan base and are still producing new music I don't know of many people (relatively speaking) who know their music, but their influence stretches far and wide.

New music is another band who's song writing was very good if a little quirky that gets my vote.

And last but not least, Cardiacs, strong complex music with off the wall lyrics that personally took me ages to get into but was worth it, they have a massive back catalogue of music and have influenced many a band but are by far the most underrated of them all.

Tommy Bolin, Lenny Breau, among others...

Killing Joke, good call.

I will add The Black Crowes, although in the States they may be better appreciated?

Jason.

My call would be Television.

They never really got the recognition they deserved at the time they released Marquee Moon, probably because they didn't fit neatly into the punk/ new wave category that was around them at the time.

Probably also because they were highly accomplished musicians!

they do get the occasional bit of airplay these days on BBC 6, but any song on that first album never fails to captivate me every time I play it.

"Sour Suite" from the album "The Essential Guess Who" vocals by Burton Cummings (I think he wrote the song also).

Little Feat - Voices On The Wind.

Whole album probably underrated. A lot of people don't rate the post Lowell George Feats albums.
