Secondhand Record Store Directory

I've been meaning to start this thread to create a useful guide to forum members up and down the country, and abroad, of recommended s/h record stores to visit on our travels.
I'll kick it off with two in the Watford area near where I live.
The first is Sounds Retro run by my friend Pete in Watford Market. There is a huge stock of good quality s/h vinyl covering all genres. Quality is generally very good and pricing is realistic. I've had many bargains here over the years. He discounts prices for multiple buys and friends. 
It's a favourite place for friends who come over to visit. There is no mail order or website.
The second is appropriately called Second Scene situated in Pinner Road 5 minutes walk from Bushey Railway Station. This is a small shop environment run by Julian with a large selection of vinyl for sale. His prices are reasonable but not quite as good as Pete at the market.

Record Collector was first opened in 1978. It was featured in the Last Shop Standing book and more recently the film based on the book. In the film local musician Richard Hawley described a visit to the shop as 'turns my brain to mush and I end up walking out with things I didn't even know existed'.

Howling Sounds in Ramsgate High Street.
Dave the owner diversified into DVDs and games a few years ago, but has seen the light and has gone back to music only again.Prices are reasonable and he give discount on multiple purchases.

If you are in the States I'll put a plug in for the Princeton Record Exchange in Princeton, NJ. Recently picked up the box set of Miles Davis at the Plugged Nickel in mint condition

The Book & Record Bar, just by West Norwood BR.
No website but on Facebook. Very friendly place in which to hang out.
Sounds of the Universe at 7 Broadwick Street W1, just off London's vinyl mecca, Berwick Street in Soho. Associated with the superb Soul Jazz reissue label. Excellent for reggae, soul, soundtracks, library music, jazz and the like.

I must take you to the market near me but it's probably small fry compared with Record Collector in Sheffield.

Here's a couple of pics of the Electric Fetus in Minneapolis that were taken last year on Record Store Day. It's no Spillers, but the store did open in 1968. Over the last few years, it's been interesting to watch the number of CD isles shrink and vinyl isles grow. I stop by most Saturday mornings, and the place is typically about half as busy.

PS - The store got some nice free publicity at the 2010 Grammy Awards, when Ringo showed up in a 'Fetus t-shirt.
