Search for hi-def music on unitiserve SSD?

Posted by: Rankinnz on 11 April 2014

I have a superuniti that I am now using with a unitiserve SSD. All music has been ripped and all is well. Is there any way of searching for hi-def music via nStream in this configuration? I have all the upnp music view settings on the unitiserve checked on. I have previously used twonky (QNAP) and minimserver as the upnp "servers' and they had the capability (the former by folder search).

You can browse by device and point to your HiDef library's folders.

I can browse by device on ipad (not iPhone), but it doesn't give me a folder view. I get a slightly reduced list of options - album, artist, genres etc. There is nothing new or different via this option.

Give all your hi-def download albums etc a new name ie. add (24 bit) to the end of the album name for instance, then it's easily located.

Yep, I guess that would be a way! I had previously always stripped such nformation off the album details, but that may be what I have to do. It's not ideal, I'd much rather be able to search by the quality of the recording, but that's obviously not available just yet. Thanks.
