This sitting on a well known auction site:

For those who are looking for speakers providing a British sound with a “non-British” bass, then the XXX XXX just might be the best call. The XXX XXX floor standing speaker system is highly transparent, yet reasonably forgiving to poor sources, such as recordings. The XXX XXX allows tri-wiring or tri-amping and has three pairs of speaker cable binding post per speaker. The mid range of this XXX speaker system has a warm, open clarity, solid density, and very stable imagining properties. The bass in its transmission line tuned enclosure dives deep and remains articulate. This floor standing speaker system is big but also fits comfortably into smaller rooms, transcending the wall boundaries in a house. This XXX speaker system works great when partnered with an amp, and it is transparent enough not to favour any music genre. The sound and bass from this XXX speaker system is truly unique given the size of the drive unit. The XXX XXX has large speakers, measuring 102.5 centimetres (40.4 inches) high, 20 centimetres (7.9 inches) wide, and 32.5 centimetres (12.8 inches) deep. It weighs in at 21.5 kg (47.4 lbs).

So, all good then.

Any others out there?

'Works great'. What sort of grammar is that? I like the idea of a speaker that is forgiving of poor sources, such as recordings.......

.....and 'stable imagining properties' .....'works great when partnered with an amp'.....

Sounds good to me. I want one. Where can I buy a pair?

'This XXX speaker system works great when partnered with an amp' - has anyone tried this?

 "forgiving to poor sources". LOL!

The only speaker that can minimise a poor source is a poor speaker.

This is a classic example of overselling, otherwise known as not selling.

Some cycling kit has the most unbelieveable tosh associated with it-usually in the form of an acronym such as (and this is made-up) Advanced Directional Flow System. It usually means something like they drilled a bigger hole to make the air flow through the helmet better.

I love PapaMikeCharlie speakers but when I tried these the 'transcendant' quality left a large hole. It's a good job serving hatches are back in vogue, and eliminates the need for multi-room kitchen installations too...

Ouch! - that's taking aerodynamics to a whole new level.
