HDX upnp cannot see music on Medion nas
Posted by: Claus-Thoegersen on 18 April 2014
One of my friends has got a used hdx 500 gb version.
He saw a very "good" or at least cheap deal on a Medion nas, a german brand. It works fine, has a public share called music, that the hdx scans automatically. The problem is the hdx cannot see the music copied to the music share. I have created a another public share called naim, and it shows up and is scanned, but the music copied to the naim share is not visible on the hdx. The files was brought over from my own nas that my ns01 can recognize so there is no tagging issues involved.
The unit has a lot of features, and Twonky version 7 running. My guesss is that Twonky could conflict with the Naim upnp server, but I am not sure I was successfull in disabling Twonky yesterday.
I will try to kill twonky again, but I am also looking for other ideas to solve the problem.
