UKIP: state of the nation?

It does remind of the old joke.

A British man and a French man stumble upon a genie together. The genie says to them both "you can each have one wish". "That's easy", says the British man, "Britain is the best country in the world, we want nothing to do with any other country so build a wall 8m high all around our lovely island". There is a small puff of smoke and a magnificant wall appears. The Frenchman says "This wall, is it all around Britain and is it totally secure? ". The genie looks at him with some pride and says "Absolutely. Nothing can penetrate my great wall". The Frenchman smiles and says "Fill it up with water".
