I'm willing to forget all about the Falklands and support Argentina...

Born a few miles north of Wembley, fully naturalised antipodean.  Even had to swear allegiance to our queen, Queen Elizabeth the Second while effectively denouncing my native monarch..........Queen Elizabeth the second.  Oh well, not a groupie but old queeny bugs seems harmless. she seems to like giving Naim awards.

So, go the Socceroos, the team with the worst ranking and the dumbest name in the comp.  

Still, we have bags of enthusiasm and we finally have an adequate domestic comp as well.   All very cost effective.  Plus, in Australia we flip the codes.  Football is the " world game" and rugby and similar oval ball games are for your common or garden bogan or bogan-esk type.   With all WC games live on free to air via our national muliticultural broadcaster SBS we are better off in the TV stakes than you lot.

Soccer is the perfect game for a big tournament, all the action can be captured in 60 second highlight packages, thereby avoiding 89 minutes of boredom, back passing, diving and crocodile rolls. 

That Spanish girl is a honey, now I know why my son is in Guatemala for two months learning the lingo before he heads down to Brazil.

This world cup is getting me excited....wonder what the football will be like !!!

Head says - first flight home.  That's a very difficult group with a Central and South American team plus a very strong Italy.

As in any sport you always have a chance but I think it'll be a fight for 3rd place with Costa Rica.

The head looks forward to it not being a dominant issue in the news for very long.

The heart says that this is no surprise.
