FIFA World Cup 2014

Atletico Madrid win La Liga and Arsenal sneak the FA Cup. Citeh's money taints the Premiership - sadly.

So who is going to win the FIFA World Cup (sponsored by McDonalds). Is Suarez is going be the top scorer - or would he fail to score with Jordan? Eddie that is

Well it's being held in Brazil - the smell up coffee and wake - imho - what do you guys think?

Well, that's put paid to my 2-0 to Brazil prediction! First 10 mins Croatia looks much sharper, getting the tackles in quickly as soon as Brazil enter their half.  Will Brazil's nerves get the better of them?

Just heard that there will be drinks break - will ITV have adverts?

1-1 Come on Brazil

Croatia are giving a very good account of themselves - they don't seem scared of the hosts. Brazil are starting to look more confident and the crowd are getting behind them.

It's a good game so far and I expect more quality in the 2nd half.

Does anyone else really want Hulk and Fred to get on the scoresheet? Those names would look so good on my wall planner.

Opening 10 mins of the second half Croatia look like they believe they can win this game. They look good and confident in possession.

+1. Brazil are finding it difficult to get any momentum going.

Ridiculous penalty award by the Japanese ref!

I think I can see why 'arry dropped that keeper at QPR. Brazil riding their luck here.

YES! Got the score dead on! But Brazil were far from convincing (although I thought Oscar was excellent) and Croatia were very good. Young team with a young manager, confident on the ball and showed some good skills. I hope they qualify.

Well the final score doesn't give a true reflection of the game. Croatia can consider themselves rather unlucky. Maybe it was the nerves that got to Brazil and now that they have a win from the opening game we will see the familiar silky skills and swagger in the next game but on this showing they are going to need more than a friendly ref to pick up the trophy.

Would agree. Certainly wasn't a penalty.

I share Kevin's hope that Croatia still qualify, and that looks quite possible with under-performing Cameroon and Mexico being the other teams in this group.

Meanwhile, I'm particularly looking forward to tomorrow's game when Spain take on Holland.

Wasn't a penalty ....and the goalkeeping standard for both teams was (IMHO) rather poor

Absolutely, World Cup feels like the Eurovision Song Contest now, bent as a 7 bob note!

All these young fillies dont want to leave out the UK do we !!

I liked the way the Ref sprayed the White line for the players to stand behind for free kicks,i`ve never seen that before.

Anyone who crosses the line gets a card......sorted.

I also suspect that the Croatian keeper's bank account will be inspected.
