I must have the only fully functioning Twonky in Naimland!

Rupert you posted a similar problem before, just bump that thread and give a better explanation of your problem and what your computer system is, what you have tried before arriving here stumped. Your posts leave the impression you have tried nothing, done nothing and expect everyone else to do your thinking for you. Have you asked any questions on the Nas device forum board?

now have you looked at the same titles through SmartWare?

+1.. my Twonky functions perfectly too..  I think it unjustly gets too much bad press...It just seems to work !

What makes you think that Rupert? Do you mean Readers Digest CDs? What does SmartWare show on the NAS?

Same here: I have Twonky 6.1 on an iOmega NAS and it works fine. I like my Synology NAS better for other reasons (iOmega orphaned my unit, no upgrade / update path any longer) and have both Media Server (native app) and MinimServer (Java app) up and running. These offer more option for library display and transcoding...but as far as straight up navigation of "Albums" view and serving of as-ripped FLAC files, Twonky is just the same and not offering the issues faced by some others. On the Twonky forum, it still seems pretty popular!

That said, I wonder if his Twonky server is at the root of Rupert's problem, or if his ripping protocol for (multi-disc?) compilation CDs is an issue?

Regards alan

I feel Rupert has yet to get to the bottom of this problem too...

But on a brighter note alan33, Fretfan. We can now become a clique! Always wanted to be in one, so please don't refuse!

Perhaps we should create an  "I got Twonky to Work" thread,  see how many of us there are, and maybe some "My Twonky isn't wonky!!"  bumper stickers....
