'Original Album Series' - The Cars & Little Feat

Bought these for £12 apiece and just noticed, contrary to the only 'Amazon' review The Cars first album is definitely a remaster and better (unusually) than my original. Nice simple packaging too.

....and 'Candy-O' is indeed the 'HDCD' remaster which I wasn't expecting - A real bargain! Let's hope the Feat 5 are as good.

I've bought several of the Original Album Series 'boxes' and have been pleasantly surprised to find that they are all of quite good quality! I did not expect this at the prices they go for.

HDCD huh? Now that's good news. Thanks for the heads up. Have you got the Mobile Fidelity Feet releases?

Don't have the MFSL Feat discs but TBH the dynamics and 'naturalness' of the cheapo series is just fine.
I like the nice simple packaging too - The mini-LP sleeves are really nice. I just wish the series had more interesting artists, some being a little obscure.

I briefly owned Little Feat's 1st album on Mo-fi CD. It was dreadful copared to my LP (dull, lifeless, insipid) so I sold it on.

I have all the MOFI releases as well as the Japanese 1st pressings for all the titles and have found the MOFI discs to be very good especially Waiting For Columbus. But to me the originals were well recorded anyway and can be got quite cheaply. But AVOID the Japanese Mini Lp sleeve remasters like the bubonic plague they are truly awful sounding.
