If he's really serious couldn't he also delete his back catalogue as well?
The KLF did it - and they actually made good music.

As long as he leaves the Genesis back catalogue alone, he'll only be missed by one member of this house.
He can at least spend the rest of his life not having to worry about ever working again. Mind you he has a lot of alimony to payout, I guess.
Unless I got it wrong and MS are not making music players anymore.

With you on this one. Posted on: 04 March 2011 by JamieL_v2
Collins is an easy target, and I must admit that I do not like his solo music, or the direction Genesis went in after Hackett left, but in the 70's he was an amazing drummer and contributed to a lot of very innovative music playing on albums by Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, Brand X, as well his work with Genesis and Peter Gabriel.
With his solo band he was very loyal to musicians he had played with before, a few of Brand X played on his albums and solo tours.
Also he was not the most petulant member of Genesis, if you have ever seen an interview with Tony Banks you will see who was the pain in that band.
Beyond all that, were it not for 'In the Air Tonight' we would never have had that fantastic moment in Family Guy 'Petergeist' when Stewie is trapped in the TV and hears that he has a pre-echo to his voice and starts the song, including the 'de-dum, de-dum, de-dum, de-dum, de-dum, de-da'.
