editing on the HDX

I have many albums I have downloaded and placed on my HDX hard drive I would  like to edit some tracks from these albums or delete some albums  how do I do this oh this music I have on a separate hard dive also when  I copied the music over to the HDX   I have updated to 24k  bits so the quality is very good help me any body  I have about 1000 albums I like to customize

Hi John

 

I don't believe you can edit the metadata directly using the Naim tools (n-serve, Desktop Client) for downloaded music.  They only work on CD rips.  Which is a bit irritating!

 

But you can edit the metadata using a whole variety of 3rd party software.  What works best for you will depend on whether you are Mac-based or PC-based, what file format your downloads are in (FLAC, AIFF, etc), and how sophisticated you want to be.

 

There is loads of discussion on this topic in this forum - have a search on tags, metadata.  If you post answers to the questions above then I'm sure all others will be along shortly to offer recommendations.

 

FWIW I use dbPoweramp on a PC.

so I have put the music on the HDX  2 tb hard drive 1100 albums  in wav format drag and drop is how I did that with the desk top  client  I want to delete some songs from some albums and some albums I want to delete from my collection altogether  I want to get in to the hard drive to do this but its crazy seems like I cant do this do I have to completely clean the hard drive and start again from scratch?? help some one is there a program that can do this anybody

Assuming they are in the downloads folder, just delete them via internet explorer.
