[superuniti]buffer internet radio stops

Posted by: Robbert on 09 June 2014

Sometimes when i start a radio channel the buffering doesn't work fine. It take sometime a few minits when the music comes out of my speakers without a gap. The buffering is counting to 60% - 70% and then to 40% - 50%..etc.. after 30 to 60 seconds it will work fine bus also after one hour playing the channel stops and the buffer must be fillet again.

My wifi network is quit fast here and the channel is not high resolution.

I updated to the latest firmware version. After that  the problem of the internet radio buffering was started.

With music from the UpNp server is works fine and have no problems at all.

What could be the problem?

You need a wired connection.

Ah, well, many of us have had this problem, me included. Along with drop-outs on UPnP servers, the Naim not finding a streamer, nStream not finding the Naim.... many luxury problems.

My UQ aerial is about 12" (not feet or meters or parsecs) from the aerial of my router; I still get dropouts. I also went wired from router to Naim, and it was even worse in terms of reliable connections.

Actually, I've avoided your question. But I've found the buffering a problem even on stations with low bit rates, 96 kbps (I think thats the correct unit measure) and had no problem with stations at 192 or higher.
