qobuz again

Trying to use Qobuz on a free trial but struggling to establish the "True CD quality" on the settings page. It seems stuck on the MP3, Standard lossy quality and the "True CD" is greyed out and refuses to spring into action. i've downloaded all of the requisite stuff from Qobuz but have run out of ideas. Anyone out there advise? I'm using Mac by the way.
Are you logged into the Qobuz app or website on Mac? I have run Qobuz for 3 months & I found it tricky interface to sort; exceptional sound quality with FLAC...really noticed huge difference in sound, but...took a while to set up & get Qobuz to set my account to allow full FLAC...I did a Sonos buy/free high quality Qobuz for 3 months; sounds like they haven't signed you up to the FULL service thou....too much at £19.99 thou...I will check my Mac this eve & see if can remember anything else for you.
Thanks for that. I went in through the website. However, I went out again and relaunched the application. It now allows me to get in to use the CD streaming. Yes, pretty amazing. On a free trial at the moment, but will make a decision when it runs out.
I have found the browsing of their 'library' bit 'clunky' and lacking some music that is easily found on Spotify, but for the quality....well through good hi-fi system is addictive!
yes. V addictive. And just had an email from them which suggests that if you're using the online
player the bandwidth is restricted to MP3s. Necessary to use the desktop application or mobile app to allow the True CD quality to be enabled in settings. This is not mentioned in their set-up blurb for some reason, unless I missed it

That's because TrueCD resolution is played locally from downloaded files, while the internet playback is streamed.
HI Guys, without meaning to hijack this thread... I signed up to Qobuz for the 15 day trial, installed the desktop app, enabled FLAC 16b 44.kHz, plugged an old PC into the Analogue input of my SU with a £10 jack - RCA cable. Now here the interesting bit, IMO this sounds better than my wired NAS Drive, how can this be??? I have a lot of 24b flacs etc on the NAS, but their Qobuz equivalent just sounds deeper, has a wider sound stage and is more detailed...
Anyone experienced anything similar?

probably caused by (both):
- the (lack of) quality of the software player used for playback from NAS;
- electric pollution of your playback hardware over ethernet when not using a LAN-isolator to isolate the two
Nick, I have some masters from Qobuz that appear to sound different from the CD equivalents... Actually I prefer some that are CD and some that are Qobuz.. But there are often differences.. Whether streamed or downloaded from Qobuz.
