Internet Explorer 9 - impressions

Seems pretty and neat.  Faster than 8 without doubt.
Strangely, my Windows 7 64bit OS seems much faster on everything since download.
I still prefer Firefox as a browser I think, mainly because I know it well.
What do others think?

Just updated from ie8 and it took seconds.  9 is much cleaner graphically and faster in Windows 7.

Thanks - I was unaware it had been upgraded.

Try Google Chrome - you will never return to Explore again
Once loaded its hard to actually time how fast pages change

I'm trying a Beta version of Firefox4 similar to Google Chrome.

I actually had a small problem with the release candidate of IE9. I could see the same problem in one or two other applications also. But after installing the final version all problems are gone. And I too think that everything seems a tiny bit faster.

I also have chrome and IE9 seems at least as fast.

It's not all a bed of roses though, I experienced a major compatibility problem when I installed it this morning (Windows 7 Home Premium). Have reverted - by a circuitous route - to IE8. And yes, I'd have a Mac if I could afford one!

IE9 downloaded Firefox faster than anything I've used before
