Good list.

I think that no 9. on your list should be on no.1 that's how good I think it is.

I think this is an amazing live performance.

Just have to add one drawback with the above mentioned LP:

The "S-Sounds" are very sharp; I thought it's a fault with my turntable set-up or the pick-up, but users in a German Forum commented the same problem.

Urs

PS.:The MUSIC, the singing & atmosphere are still outstanding - Harry at his best

No.2 from K's list has an amazing depth and imaging, very impressive recording quality.

This is one of my all time favourites

The more I play this set, the more impressed I am by the sound quality for a live performance.  Simply great.

Thanks Paul !

and I am jealous at your system :-)

For capturing the atmosphere and energy of a live rock performance I think this album takes some beating.  The opening build-up to the band's performance of Thunderstruck is visceral and just demands turing the wick up!

Thanks for this. I just have 'Four Way Street' and didn't know this set existed.

Jazz at the Pawn shop from Arne Domnerus should be in this list too. Apert from being superbly recorded, the Jazz music is also excellent. Many articles are available on the web, describing how the got to this perfect result with limited equipment

this one always impresses me, bright, clean with a great atmosphere.

and these three crazy guys seem to put on a good show.

Bonnie Raitt 'The Lost Broadcast', Ry Cooder 'Live on Air' and Rickkie Lee Jones 'Girl at Her Volcano' all worth checking out.

Very good indeed.

One can also download the 1th track of the album album here in full 96/24 PCM format to really hear the outstanding sound quality of this album. The you tube link gives a good impression but of course the sound is no where near the real deal.

Hi Iver

Would you care to give a link to one of those articles?

hi Peet, there are verious articles on the Dutch site "hifi.nl". If you go to the search, and serach for 'jazz at the pawn shop', you will find them. The articles are in Dutch but google will help you translate them. very interesting stuff on how exactly the album was recorded.

Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! Live at 'The Club' is a 1966 album by jazz musician Julian "Cannonball" Adderley. Though the original liner notes state that it was recorded at the Club DeLisa in Chicago, it was actually recorded at Capitol's Hollywood studio with an invited audience and an open bar.[1] The reason for this discrepancy, according to the liner notes in the CD reissue, is that Adderley and the new manager of Club DeLisa (which had been renamed "The Club", after operating for years in Chicago under its old name) were friends, and Adderley offered to give the club a bit of free publicity.''wikipedia''
