Last Post - 'Continue Reading'

Posted by: GraemeH on 07 July 2014

Quite often in the past few weeks when I click on 'last post' I get directed to a page with no posts and a box on the top right with 'continue reading'

Anyone else been getting this?

Yes, I've experienced that quite a few times, too.  I've put some of them down to the particular poster e.g. Mista H's posts seem to go into quarantine for a while before they appear. But I've also experienced it with others too, and in the Music Room section which suggests this isn't just our moderators checking that some posts are ok.

I've also had repeated e-mail alerts of posts which were made a couple of weeks ago which I've assumed is down to bugs in Hoopla.

Some posters are in moderation - generally because they frequently post nonsense - and their posts dont appear until Richard and co. have checked that they are vaguely sensible.

It just happened on this thread...and I notice mistah was the last, as yet invisible poster.

Therein lies the answer - you are correct Hh.

Yes, it happened when I clicked your post Graeme.  There wasn't anything controversial that I could see. Maybe there are key words that trigger the response automatically, like Hugo for example.

The way i view this M/B is that its just a bit of relaxing fun. If my posts get deleted(and a lot do) its no big deal as far as i`m concerned. Some posters get all worked up if their post does`t appear within minutes of posting, just stay cool i say.

What i cannot work out however is why Richard does delete some of my postings which are supa clean,no nasty words or naked women. A quick explanation would be helpful so then i would know where i`m going wrong and would be able to correct things in the future,

It's a little bug with Hoop-La that hasn't yet been fixed.

It does seem to affect posts that go to moderation though.

I don't normally comment on moderation matters however, Mista H, as you seem to have no issue with a public discussion here, and so you and everyone are clear, any post where I cannot see an image or there's a broken link or it's just a poor copy and paste job with broken or messy formatting automatically gets rejected or deleted.  Copy and paste jobs are best edited first within a basic text editor and any formatting removed.  Any pictures need to be remotely hosted and proper embedded  links maintained.

Hope that makes everything clear.
