Replacing Twonky with Asset

Posted by: JohnL on 20 July 2014

Hi all, I have a QNAP 212 which keeps loosing artwork/metadata on a regular basis. Naim have recommended that I replace twonky with asset on the QNAP. Does anyone have a kind of "idiots guide" for the computer clueless on how to do this ?. Any help gratefully received. Many thanks John

There is a guide on the vendors website with screenshots.

Just Google "asset upnp qnap installation" and you will find it.

I downloaded Asset to my MAC, then copied and pasted to the public (i think that is what it was called) part of the 212, then from the home page on the NAS went into apps and then manually installed by browsing in the public file. After trying some other software this one was easy to get going. Good luck.
