Pinetop Perkins- RIP

Pinetop Perkins, legendary piano player, passed away in Austin yesterday at age 97. One of the all time great bluesmen, he performed regularly around Texas and influenced countless players. RIP.

Time to dig out "Born In The Delta" again, my only PP album but a wonderful disc.

I think I bought it (on CD) in the late 90's after it appeared in HiFi News as a highlight of the year and I still recommend and demo it for it's boogie/PRAT factor and for the overall recording quality.
