Are you speculating or do you actually have something new to add (since all your previous posts seem to say the same...)

Said the same thing a little over a year ago.  He'll be right eventually.  Or not.

DSD, what a format!

Decidedly Superior Digital from the Planet Oa.

Amazing you should be saying this, with Roger Waters singing Pigs On The Wing as I write - from the Equator...

Piggy's going places isn't he?

Wat how are you sourcing your DSD albums -- purchasing digital downloads?  Is this all new music, or are you backfilling as well?

This DSD/DXD malarkey has me totally confused. if I bought a compatible DAC, where the hell would I find any Music? It seems I need to befriend a first generation PS3 owner to join in the fun!

If DSD/DXD becomes the latest "must have",  & if it takes the high end status pricing away from the 24bit 48-96-192khz format's - bring it on !!!

"High end" source files without the "high end status pricing" -- wishful thinking I'm afraid.

So, converting a PCM file to DSD makes it sound better?

If they are encoded at the same resolution, PCM FLAC and WAV and DSD all contain the same data (when they're fully decoded), so the files themselves sound the same (at least a I can't hear a difference when I look at the disk).

Your system may of course render them with different artefacts, so your system may sound different when playing them.

DSD+little "light-show-dac" made me to stop dreaming about LP12 + tons of records.

Stop mixing up DXD with DSD. DXD is indeed PCM format in 24/352.8

Hi Diamond Black,

Thanks for the explanation/instruction.
