ND5XS and Usb sticks

Hi , does  anyone know if the ND5XS or NDX will support a 128gb usb stick  in the front port ?

You could try searching the forum.

 

I believe someone was successfully using a 128Mb SD card in a card adapter with one of the Naim Streamers, but that the indexing was very slow.

Huge is right. I have a few hi-res albums on a sd-card and a card adapter. And yes, indexing is a little slow. Sounds brilliant though!

Yep, I can confirm that I use a 128gb stick in the front USB port of the ND5XS, sounds very good too......

Yes, I seriously rate the ND5 XS.

 

In my system, I now hear very little difference between using a USB stick as the source, and getting the data from my NAS drive via Ethernet.  In fact the difference is so small that I'm not sure whether it's real or whether I hear it just because I expect to hear it!

 

I have however, done a lot of work to reduce RFI in my system, as where I live it seems to be quite bad, and this has more effect on the network as a source than it does on the USB source.
