Upnp Playback Client for Mac

Posted by: Wazza69 on 01 September 2014

Hi.

I have a NDX which streams off a NAS using Minimserver. I was wondering if anyone had found a good software client to stream the files to their Mac? i.e. I would like to stream my flac files to my Mac without adding any additional hardware. Ideally with a nice interface. It would be nice to add an additional Naim streamer in the office but already have my sound going through my Guitar interface for recording. Would like to listen to my Flac collection though while I work.

Thanks

You may want to check out iTunes alternative music players or FLAC plug-ins rather than UPNP clients for this situation since your NAS can be mounted on your Mac as a regular drive. No need for streaming here, although that may be just a terminology issue...

I use JRiver Media Center for my desktop office Mac and Minimserver for my UQ, both streaming from a Vortexbox.
