Quick and easy nServe/nStream question

Posted by: CEverett on 01 September 2014

Played around with the nServe and nSteam at my dealer the other day.  I really enjoyed them, particularly the nServe.  I forgot to check one thing, and my dealer is closed, and I'm impatient.  Do these apps have a single song/track repeat function?

Thanks for indulging my impatience.

nStream does, I've just checked. You just select 'play this track' and press the repeat button on the screen. You can then listen to the Birdie Song ad infinitum.

Ha!  Thanks.  Don't know the Birdie Song, but for me today it has been Leonard Cohen's "The Future" from Live in London, and Bob Dylan's "Someday Baby" from Modern Times on my CD player.  Don't artists realize that the 4-6 minute songs that I really like should have been 17-20 minutes?

nServe does too, if you have your Naim server set up to play in that way.

I have a UnitiServe streaming to my Superuniti (as does Hungryhalibut), so we use nStream when playing music, or nServe when editing metadata / ripping to the US.

So would not normally use nServe to stream a track on repeat.

you can also repeat a playlist over and over and over
