A different, but related experience perhaps :
No Bentley's, but I do have the the privilege to have the family house in lovely countryside + a flat in London that I use during the working week. The main sytem ( NDS, 52, 500, Shahinian Hawks) resides in Devon, so, wanting decent vibes during the week I bought a superuniti to use with my 20 odd year old Shahinian Hawks.
Of course, the latter can't hold a candle to the former if you want to sit down with lights out, Balvenie in hand for a serious listen to Mahler's 2nd, but I'm very impressed with the SU system overall. I think it's a really well balanced & well pitched product that crucially, just about makes it across the line into the 'special' category of Hi-Fi. Your current sytem will of course sound better than SU alone, but as you are aware, it's currently heavily unbalanced. Something about the balance of the SU alone just seems very right feeling to me. And, yes, having one neat box is way better Feng-shui !
I have tried many times in the past to create second systems, but was always left frustrated, never succeeding in creating one that I even vaguely wanted to listen to (my hunch is that the amps were always the bottleneck) . SU is proper Hi-Fi & produces quality, involving music in my view.
