IOS 8 - can't upload album artwork anymore.

Posted by: Tony2011 on 18 September 2014

Since  updating iPad to iOS 8, I cannot upload, copy or paste album artwork / images anymore as previously done. Anyone having  the same problem? Solution?

Thanks In advance,

Tony

Lontano has had album art problems, but TonyM didn't, go figure.

Just keep an eye out on line, There does seem to be a few problems out there.

I haven't even looked at updating, but can you restore from an earlier back up?

Yes, H. A few glitches are always expected but I can't see how that would affect something as simple as copying and pasting an image. As for rolling back  the update, that's apparently impossible with iOS programs. Let's wait and see what happen next.

As an aside on this one, I had been happily ripping CD's in WAV to my iPod via iTunes, and even though there's always been as issue with metadata using WAV, 95% of the album artwork appeared.

Update to the latest version of iTunes, and lo and behold, no more artwork!

I appreciate that I cannot always expect to have artwork using WAV, but it worked fine before, so something has changed...........if it ain't broke etc.

Regards,

Dave.

Straight out of the web like it used to be, bypassing  photobucket and flickr.

I'm holding fire on my phone. When I updated to IOS 7 the flash stopped working. Apple swore blind it couldn't make any difference and refused to do anything about it, despite the evidence to the contrary and that looking online lots of people were affected this way...Don't trust 'em!

IOS8 makes photographs out-of-focus? I'll not be upgrading.

You're looking a bit 'ruff' Tony.  I think I'll wait a little before changing as there are always a few snags on release.

Apropos of not very much, I downloaded iOS8 onto my iPhone 5S earlier, and... the predictive text is ACTUALLY QUITE GOOD!

Give the predictive text time, as it learns. It might even be as good as that in my Sony Ericsson of 2007!
