How?

Posted by: True Blue on 01 October 2014

Hi all, I would like to play all the tracks from my unitiserve randomly.  Is it so easy and obvious that im missing how to do it? Or is it not possible.

Thanks in advance. Running n stream on android if it makes a difference

You can't do it.

I was going to respond to the "how" post with, "why?"

Or when? Probably the most appropriate question with Naim.

Can't be done with n-Stream (primarily due to 500 track limitation of the app) but can be done with the NDX remote handset and display menu.

Select UPnP and your UnitiServe, then scroll to ALBUM (but go no further) and hit PLAY on the remote. This will play Album 1-Track 1. Select Random and leave to play. No Play Queue in the app, but you can still skip tracks via app, should you wish. Had a SU customer who wanted to achieve this and found this solution after a bit of head scratching - it works for them.

Hope this this makes sense and works for you too.

Cheers

It is worth pointing out with Nstream/Naim the playlist is not held in the app. The list loaded into the streamer and is played from there.
The list size limit is governed by the streamer board memory.
