Has my post been removed - Stimmy

Hi, yesterday i posted a question about selling my unused naim gear and had a concern about a slight noise my cd5 was making, like a catching/rubbing noise as certain disks play and also about what leads i should sell with which items - has this been removed and if so why? this is a straight forward question!!

Yes. As to why I can only speculate you mentioned selling, you could have asked the relevant questions without mentioning selling. A bit like asking why a post has been removed and again mentioning the selling bit again, it's not necessary to get the info. you are after. Replies mentioned you are not supposed to talk about selling too...

I see, i have seen numerous posts where people refer to selling their naim gear, I did not mention any price and as far as i can tell there is no way of personally message people on this site, so that was not my aim - perhaps bad wording from my point but i was hoping for an answer/solution to my cd5's problem - simples!

Could the post be reinstated after the word "selling" has been removed?

Stimmy,

your post was moved to Admin for review following a complaint that it may well breach forum rules.

I'll look it over and see how it can be edited to comply.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for that, it was not my intention to breech rules - just bad wording, i'm hoping to resolve an issue with my cd player before we "part ways" since i want a happy new owner, so any help to resolve my rubbing noise from members would be appreciated

Stimmy, I'm not sure if my comments about involving a Naim dealer had anything to do with this - if so, I apologise for inadvertantly taking it down. I guess the essential point I was making is that your CD5 is best checked out by an authorised dealer, regardless of wether or not you intend to keep it.

If you have a rubbing noise from members, I'd see you doctor.

Stimmy,

There was nothing ambiguous about your post - some people just get hysterical when they see the word "selling"... There was no reason for anyone to complain at all.

I think Naim need to move with the times and set up a section on their website where OFFICIAL Naim dealers can list any S/H kit they have for sale. The car trade have been doing this for years.

If for example i`m after a S/h BMW(which i`m not) i just go onto the BM site type in a few basic details and up comes a list of what cars are available nearby.. You then contact the dealer direct, but BMW themselves dont get involved. To me this is a win/win situation, dealer makes a sale, and the buyer gets what he wants from a proper dealership and does not have to risk buying blind from a dodgy person off an internet website.
