usb sticks not working on Ndac

Until my ns01 arrives from Naim hq, I use my old squeezebox receiver with Ndac. This is ok, but cannot play my 24 bit files.
But the ndac can, and it has worked earlier by using usb sticks, both with wav and flac files.
But now nothing works, with 3 different usb stick.
I have a usb stick, that  is not recognized, but the 2 other sticks I have should work ok, but they do not.
One It is a 4 gb and the other is  a 64 gb I used to use in my ns01 before I bought a nas. But now none of them work. They are recognized but the music on them does not start to play.
Fortunately the Ndac works  fine with the coax connections I use, but I wonder if there is a fix I can try until my ns01 returns?

I assume you've tried turning the NDac off for 10 min then restarting it?

Usb should be formatted as FAT32, other formatS will fail.

besides that there are certain different styles of USB and some will not work. This is due to the way they are technically constructed and cannot be seen from the outside. So it is best to go with brands and types that are known to work.

i would do a search for this and look for posts shortly after the introduction of the nDAC.

I use Memorette Gold that works OK.

Is 10 min  shut down the only way to "reset" the dac, anyway I will try it out. And look for older threads on compatible sticks. And yes I use fat32 since this is also a requirement on the servers.

I updated the firmware and now the Ndac plays flac files. Strange that the firmware was not current since I got the Ndac in the beginning of June 2011.

It seems that the flac file I had on the working stick along with a wav file prevented the Ndac from  playing the wav file.

All is well and hopefully my ns01 is back monday or Tuesday next week.

Maybe a list of makes/models from readers who have used them & that work with nDAC & the streamers.
