Help! Strange behavior of the new APP

Posted by: LCV on 11 October 2014

Since the last 2 days I have a strange problem with the new APP.

1) In UPnP  I select an album, I press the three dots at the top right of the page and select PLAY NOW, it always start from track n.2 always jumping track 1. If I go to see the PLAY QUEUE I find that track n.1 is in the list but strangely in the last position and it plays for last.

This happens only since 2 days, before it was ok.

It happens on all my devices (iPad 3, iPad mini and iPhone 6) all with the new APP.

It does not happen with my iPad 2 where I still have the old app (N-stream) so this means that it is not a problem of TWONKY.

It is not a particular problem with TWONKY because it happens also when I use other server UPnP  with different LIBRARY.

As further information I have experienced that:

A) After selecting an album if I touch the first track then it starts playing all the songs of the album from the first one and also in the PLAY QUEUE the order is correct.

B) If, while some other music is playing already, I touch the 3 dots at the top of the page (as in point 1)  and I choose QUEUE LAST  then the PLAY QUEUE is correct and track n.1 is in first place where it schooled be.

3) If i make a PLAY LIST from the album, the resultant PLAY LIST is correct and plays the tracks in the correct order.

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Yes, the "Track 2" issue is a known bug in the latest version of the new Naim app. It was reported to tech support a couple of days ago and they are working on resolving it in the next release.

It has been discussed in the various forum threads relating to the new app.

No problem at all, Lorenzo.

There are a few threads relating to the new app and they have several different aspects/subjects being discussed with some duplication. I find it useful to use the search box when looking for a specific subject.

foolishly I did not look because I was convinced it was my fault!

Now I feel better!

I think that this discussion can be deleted!
