Naim experience?

Posted by: hungryhalibut on 12 October 2014

In a few moments of boredom I was 'going deeper' on the newly revamped Naim website, when I stumbled upon the Naim Experience. Two things struck me:

'Nestled almost in the shadow of Salisbury Cathedral'..... The use of 'almost' is interesting. Nestled just off the ring road round the back of the DIY shed would be more like it.

See the man who has lovingly created the Aro tonearm for the last ten years...... When the last Aro was made a good few years ago. Maybe we can watch him signing on at the local Jobcentre Plus.

I've had a few very enjoyable visits to Naim, but I think the Experience page needs a little updating. 'Watch Mu-so roll off the production line on a live video feed from China' doesn't have the same ring as watching a nice chappy who has made Aros for 10 years.

Where is this

Come on Nigel, At the winter solstice, in the late afternoon, the shadow of Salisbury cathedral  probably does "almost" reach the factory................. (and the rest of the industrial quarter)

..........and I believe that the cabinets for the Ovator series of speakers are made in China. I also noticed that the Mu-so is "finely tuned by our highly trained technicians in Salisbury" or some such similar words............its advertising ! - a bit like politics.
