Kind of Bargain

Best mastering of KoB on CD I've heard plus 2 other albums for £3.50 - A must buy!
£3.50 is that all they can afford for you to take it away?
As if the world needs another version of KOB, what's that take 203?

Agreed - But after owning the '50th anniversary', 'Millenium' and 'Gold' editions and always found the sound somewhat wanting in terms of digital artifice, loudness and so on I thought it worth a punt.
The sound quality on this £3.50 release far exceeds the others by a country mile. Much more like the original columbia release on LP I have a sonic memory of.
I have several copies of KOB, on CD and vinyl. I stopped when I found the 45 on vinyl a couple of years ago. It is remarkable how many ways you could have bought it over the years. I am waiting for the HD download next.
Thanks for the information, it's now wending it's way to me.
the attraction for me is the inclusion of
which I have seen mentioned very favourably many times on the forum but never got around to buying.

Hi
If any members are on spotify, there is a 2010 HD remaster of KOB which sounds head and shoulders above the other versions including the Legacy edition.
Honestly I can't recommend this highly enough, staggering difference even on my modest set-up.

Jim
Thanks GraemeH,
Had not heard of this outlet before and thought it well worth a try for a "better" KOB and another for that price. Let's see how good their delivery performance is.

Mine was ordered via A**z*n on a Saturday morning and arrived Monday lunchtime for £3.97 including postage and VAT. I feel a modicum of guilt at the unsustainability of this.....I think.
Indeed it's a long time since Kaufman's campaign for cheaper CDs!
It probably can't and wont last but there has never been a better time to fill out one's music collection.
I fear many albums once sold out will never see the side of a shiny disk again, but then again I thought cameras on phones would never take off!
