Yes - I don't think its as good as Uberjam, but worth having.

I don't agree, I like it as much as Uberjam but it is different. Incidentally about 8 years ago Radio 3 broadcast a live concert of John Scofield and his band doing Uberjam material. I was lucky enough to burn it to cd.

Do have both.

Initially was not as endeared to Deux but it has certainly grown on me after a good few listens and now probably listen to more than the original along with "A Go Go" which is also great. JS doesn't do many bad albums actually.

I was lucky enough to see JS in the Jazz Cafe in London on that Uberjam tour (seen him many times with lots of different line ups), and it was one of the best gigs I've been to. They were on fire. For me the Deux record doesn't have the freshness and edge of the first disc, but I do like it.

By the way, for any fans of A Go Go who want it on LP - it has recently been released on that format in a limited edition, from Korea of all places. Don't be put off, it is an official release and done to the highest standards - both the pressing, and the packaging. Expensive but marvellous.

I don't have Deux, but so far I prefer A Go Go to Uberjam. I also really like Hand Jive and Groove Elation.

Any other suggestions given that?

Paul.

Agree "Hand Jive" is Great, will have to search out "Groove Elation"

Thanks Charles, there are several on there that I didn't know about.

The two MSMW's were already on my wish list, they'll probably make good Christmas presents.

I love it no 2.

And it is also much better recorded than the 1th album.

Better sound stage too.

My favorite Scofield is Hand Jive.
