Desk Top Client

Do I need to have any software running on my PC to run DTC for my unitiserve (e.g. to schedule a backup or promote a music share), or can I just connect the PC to the network and run DTC from the unitiserve?

My PC has had to be reconfigured and I have lost the shortcut that used to be on the desktop.

If I do need to install something, where can I get it from? I can only find the server upgrades to download on the naim website.

Thanks!

The DTC lives on the computer. It's somewhere buried in the Naim site, though goodness knows where.

Thanks HH. Hopefully someone will be along soon who knows where it is!

I just went onto the website and found it in 30 seconds. Type desktop client into the search. That will take you to the UnitiServe page, and the DTC download is at the bottom.

Thanks HH. There is no DTC download. You have to install it from a CD. So I need to find the CD!

Yes there is, look......

Thanks again HH - although I couldn't see the picture I eventually worked out where it was. Phew!

Hopefully anyone in the future looking for the download will be able to find this thread to help them.

Not so Dozey after all then! I'm pleased you've found it. While you are in the DTC, set it to transcode your files to WAV on playback if you have them in FLAC, and if you have not done so already.

All my ripped files are in WAV. The only flacs are hi-res downloads which are transcoded to wav on playback as you suggest.

Life was too short to sort out the tags on WAV downloads!
